District Nursing provides a wide variety of nursing services to maintain quality of life and independence within the home setting to eligible clients.  Palliative Care services provide support for people to deal with terminal illness.

The District Nursing services travels thousands of kilometres annually to provide community nursing, post acute care, hospital in the home, hospital to home care, palliative care and care to Veteran's Affairs clients.  The District Nurses network with other service providers to ensure appropriate services and adequate support is provided to assist clients to remain in their own homes as long as possible.

The service aims to promote health and independence for all clients.  Services include wound management, medication management, health education and promotion, nursing support and maintenance to clients and carers, assessments and referral to other services.

The service operates seven days a week from 8am-8pm.
